Profile of Rowena Stocks

Prior to founding Diagnios, Rowena was the Vice President, Human Resources (Global) with Orchestream Ltd, a software development company headquartered in London. The firm produced automated IP network provisioning and configuration tools for enterprises and tier-1 telecom/service providers and was backed by venture capital leaders including Deutsche Bank, Reuters, Amadeus Venture Partners, Kennet Capital, Quester, Atlas Venture, Intel and Newbury Ventures. The company was acquired by US software provider MetaSolv in 2003.

Rowena successfully built and managed Orchestream’s Global human resource management operation during its growth from 32 people in the UK to over 500 people spanning 6 countries and 4 continents. Her management of this exponential growth incorporated the direct recruitment of 150 staff, including executive and board level positions. As a member of the senior management team, she worked with the Board and external advisors to prepare Orchestream for its Initial Public Offering and listing on the LSE and NASDAQ.

Rowena provided strategic direction and operational support as lead integration manager for the company’s acquisition of the Crosskeys group, based in Canada. In addition, she acted as the firm’s main organisational change agent, managing Orchestream’s successful restructure and facilitating cultural change within a hostile market environment. Rowena later incorporated responsibility for Orchestream’s operational infrastructure, managing the company’s Information Technology, Office and Facilities Management, and Quality Assurance staff and programs.

During her time at Orchestream, Rowena also acted as an advisor to a number of other technology-based start-ups, such as Nexagent, igabriel, and SportTV and provided ad-hoc advice to other investment vehicles represented by the Non-Executive Directors of the company.

Before joining Orchestream, Rowena was the National Human Resource Manager with Cecil Bros Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s leading retail footwear chains employing over 1000 employees across 100 sites within Australia. She successfully negotiated federal enterprise bargaining agreements covering 850 employees, managed a large senior management restructure, and was appointed to the Retail Traders Association of Western Australia.
